Consumer guarantees
Where the Australian Consumer Law applies, services supplied by Remote PC Care come with guarantees that cannot be excluded. Services must be provided with due care and skill, be fit for an applicable purpose you make known to us, and be supplied within a reasonable time where no time has been agreed.
Our commitment
- Take reasonable care when accessing and working on your device
- Explain the proposed service and obtain permission before remote access
- Use reasonable skill when diagnosing and troubleshooting
- Communicate additional charges before additional paid work
- Treat customer information responsibly
- Explain when a problem cannot reasonably be resolved remotely
When something goes wrong
Contact us if you believe there is a problem with our service. Depending on the circumstances and your legal rights, remedies may include rectifying the problem, re-performing the service, an appropriate refund, cancelling an affected service, or another remedy required by law.
Pre-existing problems
Devices may contain pre-existing hardware faults, software corruption, malware, data loss, configuration problems or other defects. We will not attribute those issues to our service where we did not cause them. This does not limit our responsibility for our own failure to comply with applicable guarantees.
Third-party services
Some problems arise from internet providers, software developers, cloud platforms, device manufacturers or telecommunications providers. We will explain this where reasonably identifiable. Your rights against those suppliers may be separate from your rights concerning our services.
Your rights remain protected
Nothing in our Terms & Conditions, Refund Policy, Remote Access Consent or other policies is intended to exclude, restrict or modify a consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded, restricted or modified.
