Our services
Remote PC Care provides remote technical support for compatible computers, mobile devices, software, accounts, networks and other technology. The exact service depends on your request and the technical circumstances.
Customer authority and remote access
You confirm that you own the relevant device, system or account, or have the owner’s permission to authorise the work. Some services require you to run approved remote support software and approve the connection. You may terminate remote access at any time.
Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate information about the issue
- Maintain appropriate backups of important data
- Provide legitimate access where required
- Follow reasonable technician instructions
- Have authority to request the service
- Maintain valid software licences
Data, diagnosis and resolution
Technical work may involve changes to software, settings, operating systems or storage. We exercise reasonable care and skill, but not every problem can be repaired remotely. Physical repair, replacement parts, a manufacturer, an internet provider or another third party may be required.
Third-party products and services
Remote PC Care is not responsible for outages, restrictions, defects, policies or changes caused by third-party software, hardware, internet services, cloud services, accounts or manufacturers.
Payment and additional work
Applicable pricing will be communicated during booking or purchasing. Payment may be required before support begins. Additional work outside the agreed scope will not be charged without informing you and obtaining agreement where required.
Customer conduct and software
We may refuse or terminate a service involving unlawful activity, unauthorised access, threatening or inappropriate behaviour, or unreasonable security risk. We will not knowingly install pirated or unlawfully obtained software.
Liability and consumer rights
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law where applicable. To the extent permitted by law, Remote PC Care is not responsible for losses caused by matters outside our reasonable control, pre-existing faults, third-party services, malicious software or failures unrelated to our service. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published or otherwise provided at the relevant time applies to the service.
